(WIFR) – It was a wet and dreary start to our Sunday with Rockford recording 1.36″. We’ve had some dry hours since then, but showers and storms are starting to develop across the region. Because of the earlier rainfall, I think our severe chances are significantly lower this evening, but maybe one or two could produce some strong winds gusts. I think we should dry out by 2 a.m. or so, leaving us mostly cloudy with lows in the upper 60s.
Heading into our Monday, we’ll see some clouds early on followed by some afternoon sunshine. I can’t rule out maybe a few stray storms developing in the afternoon but I’m not overly excited for our chances. Highs will be in the middle to lower 80s……
