Last year, Hurts Donut closed after many years in business. Just months later, Parlor Doughnuts announced plans to open in Wichita. It seemed only a matter of time before they would take over the Hurts Donut location at 7010 W. 21st St.—which they confirmed in December.
This will be the company’s first location in Kansas who started in 2019 in Evansville, IN. The doughnut shop has over 100 locations in 19 states and Kansas is next on the list.
Originally, the franchise hoped for a May opening, but I’ve been told the latest update pins the grand opening in August. At least that is what they are aiming for. As always, things are subject to change…
