PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A series of crashes, including a separate hit-run on the Morrison Bridge, left five Bridge Pedal cyclists hospitalized Sunday morning, authorities said.
The hit-run crash was reported just before 8:30 a.m., when Portland police said a cyclist – an adult man – going westbound on the way to the Providence Bridge Pedal was hit by a pickup truck from behind and knocked to the road.
Officials said the pickup driver the pulled alongside the cyclist, briefly stopped, then left the scene.
