Suspect allegedly tried to kidnap woman before police shooting on US 60
Mesa PD Detective John Dreyer said officers tried to tase the suspect but were unsuccessful. At that point, the driver jumped over the median and ran into traffic in the eastbound lanes of US 60. Dreyer said the man allegedly reached for his waistband, which is when an officer shot him.
