Portland police officers made two arrests and seized a significant quantity of narcotics, a firearm, and cash during a stop in the Sunderland Neighborhood on August 3rd, according to a release from the Portland Police Bureau (PPB). The incident began with officers responding to a report of an occupied 2024 Jeep Cherokee with no license plates. For the safety of all involved, law enforcement deployed Stop Sticks to deflate the vehicle’s tires and prevent a potential pursuit.
Despite these precautions, the driver attempted to escape, directing the vehicle towards an officer before abandoning it on Northeast Faloma Road, uninjured of the encounter. Assisted by additional officers, a K9, and a UAS operator, the police established a perimeter and apprehended both suspects. According to the police report, 35-year-old Crystal H. Holder was taken into custody first, followed by 42-year-old Justin C. Holder.
The ensuing investigation revealed dealer quantities of narcotics preliminarily identified as fentanyl and methamphetamine. Alongside the drugs, authorities confiscated a semiautomatic pistol, firearm magazines, live ammunition, and about $10,000 in cash, all subject to civil forfeiture. The PPB’s Narcotics and Organized Crime Unit assisted with the investigation.
