BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A memorial has been set up outside the motel room where Genesis’ body was found and where police believe she was killed.
Sunday marked one week since police discovered Genesis’ body inside a bathtub, in room 248 of the La Quinta Inn Motel off of Buck Owens Boulevard. Her father and stepmother, 31-year-old Ray Mata and 27-year-old Graciela Bustamonte are charged with the child’s abuse, torture, and murder.
