Husband taken into ICE custody, family dog finds human remains for 4th time

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WKRC) – A man was taken into ICE custody after a dog found human remains again.

According to WBRC, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office first launched an investigation at a home in Center Point, Alabama on August 20, 2024 after a family dog named “Chicarin” made an uncanny series of gruesome discoveries, including a human skull with a gunshot wound, which it brought home to its owners.

Four months later, the dog discovered a human tibia bone and brought it home to her owner, identified by WBRC as Paulina Mejia…
