BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo woman was sentenced to 1 1/3 to four years in prison after she killed a bicyclist and injured two others in a collision in June 2022, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office announced.
Carmen Martin, 36, had her driver’s license revoked in addition to receiving the maximum sentence for the highest count, officials said. An investigation determined that she has a medical condition and was not under the influence at the time of the incident.
Just before 9 p.m. on June 17, Martin was driving her sedan westbound on South Park Avenue when she hit a bicyclist, a 32-year-old woman, near the Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino. The woman was treated for a head injury, broken bones and leg fractures at ECMC…
