DPD: 15-year-old shot and killed after robbery goes wrong

DETROIT (WWJ) — A 15-year-old boy has died in what Detroit police believe was a case of a robbery gone wrong.

Just before 11 p.m. on Aug. 9, the teen allegedly tried to rob a man in his 20s near a gas station in the area of Vernor and Joseph Campau on the city’s east side.

But Detroit police officials tell WWJ Newsadio 950 the man he tried to rob was a CPL holder, who pulled out a gun and shot him. That man was taken into custody for questioning at the scene…
