It’s all about bus transportation in Erie this weekend, as Pennsylvania bus drivers rev up the engines for the Pennsylvania Public Transportation Association’s annual “Bus Roadeo.”
This year, the Erie Metropolitan Transit Authority hosted the event at the Presque Isle Downs and Casino parking lot, bringing the event back to Erie after nearly 25 years.
“Basically, it’s a competition for all of the drivers that drive buses, small paratransit buses, big forty-foot buses,” said Jeremy Peterson, CEO of EMTA. “There was a written course yesterday. There was pre-trip test yesterday, and today’s now the physical obstacle course with about seven stations testing their skills.”…
