$8 million settlement reached years after Weaver fertilizer plant fire in Winston-Salem

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — More than three and a half years after the massive fire at the Weaver Fertilizer Plant, thousands of Winston-Salem residents could soon get compensation.

Roughly 6,500 people who lived within a one-mile radius of the plant at 4440 N. Cherry St. could be eligible for a portion of an $8 million settlement.
