KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. (WATE) — University of Tennessee wide receiver Chris Brazzell II was arrested Friday night on charges of driving while his license was suspended, court records showed.
At approximately 8:57 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 8, at Chapman Highway and E Blount Avenue, an officer saw a car driving about 60 mph in a 35 mph zone, according to court records. The officer conducted a traffic stop and found that the driver, identified as Brazzell, had a suspended driver’s license in the state for failing to appear for trial court in Blount County last year, court records showed.

“Due to his history of not appearing for court, Mr. Brazzell was placed under arrest,” the officer wrote.
Brazzell enrolled at UT in January 2024 after playing two seasons at Tulane. In 2024, he was on the fall SEC academic honor roll, according to the university. He is number 17.
