PHOTOS: Carytown Watermelon Festival returns for 43rd year

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The annual Carytown Watermelon Festival returned for the 43rd year on Sunday, bringing with it a sweet slice of summer.

The festival, which ran from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 10, along Cary Street, and featured than 100 vendors, live music on several stages, a kids zone and 3,000 watermelons.
