WILMINGTON, NC — Actor and comedian Orlando Jones will return to Wilmington later this month to host a charity comedy show aimed at supporting at-risk youth in the Port City.
The “Standup for Oops” event is set for 7 p.m. on Aug. 22 at The Terraces on Sir Tyler. Jones will host, with comedian and television personality Loni Love headlining. Proceeds will benefit the Oops Foundation, a Wilmington-based nonprofit that provides training, clothing, and other resources to help disadvantaged young people and adults prepare for the workforce.
Jones, known for his roles in films such as “Drumline” and the TV series “Abbott Elementary,” serves on the foundation’s board. He said he got involved through founder Atiba Johnson, a Wilmington native, because of his connection to the community…
