Monday evening update:
Slowly warming up…high temperatures will be in the mid 80s to low 90s on Tuesday. Still below average, but humid. Dry conditions and mostly cloudy skies to start the day, and then showers and storms will spark in the afternoon, lasting through the evening. These storms are not expected to be severe, but could be strong with heavy rain and frequent lightning. We also have the minor threat of flooding once again, with some places reaching up to around 3″ of rain. The higher threat will be in our northwestern counties.
Rain chances will decrease as the week goes on, as temperatures will finally hit 90 degrees for the first time in nearly two weeks in Augusta! Still not expecting a heat wave or any significant heat any time soon…..
