NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) – While the city of North Augusta aims to encourage healthy development through the Alidade project, some residents are expressing their concerns about the initiative.
Over 1,300 acres in North Augusta are being planned for new developments, with Alidade being one of those projects.
From potholes to buildings needing repairs, there are areas of Augusta that need some attention. And leaders are making a list of the priorities.
“It’s got seven different tracks and there are 25 phases of the development. It will have about 1000 apartments and 3100 single-family residential units,” explained Tommy Paradise, North Augusta Planning Director. “It’s supposed to have a village center with about half a million square feet of commercial and retail space, and 143 acres of green space.”…
