CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – A more typical summer weather pattern for August will play out this week. Seasonable to just above average temperatures, increased humidity and some daily chances for showers and storms. Daytime highs in the upper 80s to low 90s and overnight lows in the upper 60s to low 70s. Only a few isolated showers and storms expected Tuesday. A slow moving cold front will approach for the mid and late week, to bring more scattered coverage. Currently, the weekend coverage is trending more isolated with seasonable temperatures.
Tropical Storm Erin developed Monday in the far Eastern Atlantic and is moving westward and forecast to strengthen to a hurricane, the first of the season. Still plenty of time…..
