One of Calhoun County’s most prominent non-profits serving local homeless residents is on the brink of closing if it can’t raise additional funding due to federal funding cuts.
“Our fiscal year ends September 30, 2025, and we are facing a deficit of over $160,000,” said Executive Director Robert Elchert. “If nothing changes, will not be able to sustain operations through this winter. The human and economic impact this will have on our community will be devastating and irreversible.”
