State watchdog says Trustee’s Office employee used position to profit over $100k

KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. — State investigators found an employee used his position and knowledge to pocket more than $100,000 from real estate deals.

Jason Dobbins turned himself in Friday after a grand jury indicted him on two counts of official misconduct. The Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury, the state’s watchdog agency, released their full report Aug. 8.
