To help keep the beginning of the school year going strong, Mel’s Diner is partnering with WBIR-TV and the Boys & Girls Club of the Smoky Mountains for a special Back to School Meet Up on Tuesday, August 12, from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM at 119 Wears Valley Road in Pigeon Forge.
The event invites the community to enjoy breakfast, meet WBIR anchors Abby Ham, Heather Waliga, and Rebecca Sweet, and donate school supplies to benefit students served by the Boys & Girls Club of the Smoky Mountains.
A full list of needed items is provided below, including essentials such as backpacks (clear or mesh), crayons, glue sticks, notebooks, folders, pencil pouches, erasers, and dry erase markers.
