Myrtle Beach teen charged in Georgetown shooting after jumping from stolen car, police say

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – The Georgetown Police Department is identifying the suspect in a Monday morning shooting that turned into a chase.

The agency is charging Jahquez LeSane, 19 years old of Myrtle Beach, with receiving stolen goods valued at $10,000 or more, hindering and obstructing a police officer and discharging a firearm in the city.

The charges stem from a shooting around 12:30 a.m. in the 2000 block of Gilbert Street.

Witnesses told police they saw a white Chevrolet Impala and a black Honda Accord driving on Gilbert Street while shooting from their cars, according to Georgetown police…
