Six New Yorkers are holding tickets worth $50,000 each after the Aug. 9 Powerball drawing.
The New York Lottery said the winning third-prize tickets were sold at Buckley’s Market and Five Star Wine & Liquor in Brooklyn; Speedway in Lockport; N & N Delancey Smoke Shop in Manhattan; Byrne Dairy in Watertown; and A V Convenience Store in White Plains.
Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. The game’s numbers are drawn from one to 69, with the red Powerball drawn from a separate field of one to 26.
