TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – As school starts up in Leon County, some students are facing long journeys along busy roads to get to their new bus stop. It’s an issue concerning many parents.
Roberta Meikle said her son has to walk about 1.8 miles to get to his bus. The SAIL High School student has to walk down Tennessee Street, cross Capital Circle and then trek down Highway 90, according to Meikle.
“He’s going to have to brave that traffic on his own, and of course, crossing Capital Circle for any kid is not going to be safe,” she said…
