FITCHBURG, Wis. – In south central Wisconsin, communities are cleaning up after getting heavy rain and flooding over the weekend.
Over the weekend floods and heavy rain tore through southern Wisconsin, leaving parts of the News 3 Now viewing area with over half-a-foot of rain in the last 72 hours.
Meteorologist Blaise Keller of News 3 Now’s First Warn weather team said recent warm air conditions is what contributed to the heavy rain fall.
“At times the precipitable water, which is a tool we use as meteorologists to see.” Essentially if you were to wring out the atmosphere like a wet towel, how much water would fall from the atmosphere? And at times it was two inches over all of southern Wisconsin,” Keller said…
