WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Rose Hill police are warning residents about several raccoons possibly infected with rabies in the area.
The police department reported its first call on August 4th. Officers discovered a raccoon walking in an open area, showing no signs of fear when near people, and appeared disoriented, which are indicators of rabies.
Officers responded to six other raccoon calls since the original report on August 4th, where the animals all acted similarly. The police department said all of the raccoons were euthanized and destroyed…
