We’re in for a stretch of hot weather as a strong high-pressure system sits offshore. Today kicks off a run of well-above-normal temperatures, with highs reaching well into the 90s for many areas. Overnight lows will also stay warm — upper 60s and even near 70° in some urban spots — making it harder to cool down at night. Heat Warnings and Advisories go into effect at noon today and last through 10 p.m. Tuesday.
