ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A man from Brooklyn was arrested on weapon charges after a brief pursuit on Lake Avenue.
Around 3 a.m. Tuesday morning, RPD officers and NYSP troopers responded to reports of a man slumped over the wheel of a running car on Lake Ave. Officers confirmed the driver was asleep at the wheel and that a gun was on the center console.
After spike strips were put in front of the car, officers tried to make contact with the driver. It was alleged that the driver, 28-year-old Roland Petite-Phare, drove off and hit the spike strips.

According to RPD, a pursuit began and ended when Petite-Phare allegedly struck a building on Driving Park Avenue. He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries…
