Erie man in ICU with serious injuries after motorcycle accident

(WJET/WFXP) – One man is currently in the intensive care unit (ICU) after being seriously injured in a motorcycle accident.

On Tuesday, August 12, just after midnight, an officer with the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) Girard responded to a reported motorcycle crash on Interstate 79.

According to police, the driver, a 21-year-old Erie man, was traveling south on I-79 and proceeded onto the off-ramp of exit 182.

Police stated that the driver was negotiating a right-hand curve when he lost control due to driving too fast.
