Grainger High School student arrested after threat investigation

RUTLEDGE, Tenn. (WATE) — A student was arrested at Grainger High School following a threat investigation on Monday.

Grainger County Sheriff James Harville said the sheriff’s office investigated report of threats made on social media. The investigation led to the arrest of a student at the school.

Lawyer warns of consequences for students making school threats

The student was transported to the juvenile detention center and charged with making a threat of mass violence.
