Amarillo PD fighting release of body worn camera from investigation into assistant chief

AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — The Amarillo Police Department — which claims to be “committed to transparency and public accountability” — is fighting the release of body worn camera video from the investigation into now retired Assistant Chief Ken Funtek.

Funtek was involved in a minor crash on June 19 that was initially reported by police as a hit-and-run, and later submitted to the Potter County attorney for possible DWI charges.
