Texas man convicted of making online threats to kill Secret Service agents

A man from Lubbock, Texas was convicted Thursday of threatening to kill U.S. Secret Service agents in a series of posts online.

The charges, which include threatening a federal law enforcement officer and transmitting threats in interstate commerce, were brought against Tristan Langston in March.

The threats were written after two Secret Service agents investigated a separate threat Langston made in 2023.  The U.S. Attorney’s Office did not say if Langston faced a trial for the threats from 2023…
