A natural foods store rooted in Austin is expanding its Lone Star footprint as plans develop to open the business’ first storefront in a North Texas suburb.
Whole Foods Market, founded and headquartered in Austin, currently has more than 30 stores operational throughout the Lone Star State in the Austin, Houston, El Paso and Dallas-Fort Worth metros. Within the latter, the natural grocer is breaking new ground with its expansion into Frisco.
The Austin retailer would be a tenant at The Mix, a multibillion-dollar mixed-use development underway in Frisco, and construction on the grocery store began in late July, according to reporting from the Dallas Business Journal.
