San Antonio Chacho’s Restaurant Evacuated After Bomb Threat, Former Employee Suspected

Yesterday morning, a San Antonio Chacho’s restaurant faced evacuation following a reported bomb threat and a subsequent fire, which authorities believe was linked to a disgruntled former employee. As reported by KTSA, the San Antonio Police Department received a bomb threat aimed at the restaurant located in the 8600 block of Perrin Beitel, leading to immediate evacuation procedures at approximately 12:15 a.m.

Upon the team’s arrival, firefighters took charge and discovered a small fire, quickly bringing it under control. This quick extinction, suggested by KSAT, was due to the prompt action after the building was evacuated, searching for a bomb then determining that an “incendiary device” had ignited the fire.

The investigation turned its attention to a former employee, who was seen running from Chacho’s around the time firefighters responded to the threat.
