ARVADA, Colo. (KDVR) — Coyote attacks are increasing along the Front Range, with many occurring in the Arvada area.
Over the past four months, there have been six coyote attacks on small pets in the area, three of them fatal.

“We had neighbors have one pet killed and another pet injured,” said Andrew Giacomini.
Residents say coyotes in the northwestern part of the city are becoming more and more aggressive and way too comfortable around humans. Noel Datko’s dog Zoe was killed when a coyote jumped over their fence on July 18. Other animals, including chickens, have been targeted as well.Residents say they need a better way to protect their loved ones.
