One person was airlifted to the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle with life-threatening injuries following a house fire on Sunday in southeast Olympia.
Fire Officer Russell Hermann with the Olympia Fire Department said a single engine was dispatched at around 10:40 a.m. Sunday to the house fire at Lybarger Street Southeast and Carlyon Avenue Southeast, near Olympia High School and Pioneer Elementary. When the unit arrived, the house was actively on fire, with visible smoke, he said.
