AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – The Richmond County Board of Education (RCBOE) announced it intends to increase the 2025 property taxes it will levy this year by 5.33 percent over the rollback millage rate, according to a press release sent Tuesday.
“The budget adopted by the Richmond County Board of Education requires a millage rate higher than the rollback millage rate; therefore, before the Board sets a final millage rate,” the Aug. 12 statement from RCBOE reads in part.
