Accused Fort Stewart shooter to be held at Joint Base Charleston in pre-trial confinement

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – An Army sergeant accused of shooting at six fellow soldiers on an Army base in Georgia last week is set to be transferred to Joint Base Charleston for pre-trial confinement.

Sgt. Quornelius Radford had a pre-trial confinement review on Tuesday, Aug. 12, where the Army Office of Special Trial Counsel (Army OSTC) brought charges against him for an Aug. 6 shooting in the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team complex at Fort Stewart.

28-year-old Radford opened fire that Wednesday morning at his workplace, managing to hit and injure five soldiers before being tackled by nearby coworkers…
