PENSACOLA. Fla. — The Pensacola Motor Lodge could soon have a new owner. On Monday afternoon, the city’s Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) voted 4-1 on the intent to sell the property.
This comes after the previous developer failed to get the proper tax credit to convert the property into affordable housing. Some council members are calling this a lesson learned.
The city purchased this property two years ago. Since then the property has sat boarded up, fenced in, deteriorating by the day. City leaders remain hopeful the land will still be used for affordable housing…
