San Jose boy, 11, missing for more than a week found safely, mom says

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — An 11-year-old San Jose boy, Noah Alhayek, was missing in the Bay Area for eight days. On Monday evening on Aug. 11, Noah was found, the boy’s mother tells NewsNation local affiliate KRON.

Noah was found on Treasure Island in San Francisco, according to his mom. The mom and her older son were on the island putting up flyers of Noah.

Police: 22-year-old man missing from suburban Chicago

Noah was reported missing to the San Jose Police Department after he left his group home on foot in East San Jose on August 4, police said.

Noah’s mother, Crystal Nieland, said her son has mental health challenges and has been known to “link up” with older children from troubled backgrounds without “realizing the danger he is in.”…
