Central NY man working for trash hauler killed when he’s struck by car

Granby, N.Y. — A sanitation worker was killed Monday afternoon when he was hit by a car while crossing a road to return to his garbage truck in Oswego County, state police said.

Around 4:21 p.m., troopers responded to the crash on Route 14 in Granby, said Trooper Jennifer Jiron, a state police spokesperson.

The vehicle hit the Butler Disposal Systems employee — Alexander M. Snow, 32, of Phoenix — as he crossed the road with a rolling container, according to a news release…
