BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Two 19th Judicial District judges began new assignments in August which saw them replace their criminal caseloads with additional duties hearing civil cases.
District Judge William Jorden will assume authority over civil cases in section 25 of the court. He was already hearing civil cases in section 32 of the court. New cases will no longer be assigned to cases.
The criminal section that Judge Jorden previously presided over will be handled by Pro Tem Judge Bonnie Jackson until after the October election when a new judge is seated in Division “O.”…
