‘I’m happy to do the work’: Stoughton cleans up after overnight storm downs trees and powerlines

STOUGHTON, Wis. (WMTV) -An overnight storm resulted in downed trees, fallen branches, and broken power lines across Stoughton. Tuesday morning, residents and work crews were busy cleaning up.

On N McKinley St., near the intersection with N Page St., a large portion of a tree broke off, pulling a power line with it.

Community Service Officer John Basco, with the City of Stoughton Police Department, was asked to come patrol the area to ensure it would be safely handled…
