Second motorcyclist in four days killed at intersection

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The crash at Union Boulevard and Garmish Road earlier on Tuesday has resulted in the death of a motorcyclist–four days after another motorcyclist was killed at the same intersection.

According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), officers responded just before 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday to the intersection of Union and Garmish, just north of Vickers Drive, on a report of a crash involving a car and a motorcycle. When officers arrived, they found the motorcyclist dead on scene.

Just four days ago, on Saturday, Aug. 9, another motorcyclist was also killed at the intersection of Union and Garmish after colliding with an SUV.

The Major Crash Team responded to investigate both crashes. CSPD did not say if any charges had been filed in either crash.
