Power outage forces TRAX delays as trains unable to leave yard

SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — A Salt Lake City power outage prevented TRAX trains from leaving the yard, causing systemwide delays.

The delays were first reported around 5:45 a.m. Tuesday, with Utah Transit Authority officials advising residents of “systemwide significant delays.” Officials said multiple TRAX trains are stuck in the yard due to the outage.

“The Green Line is down 3 trains. The Red Line is down 2 trains. The S-Line is down 1 train. We are pulling extras from the Blue Line, which operates out of a different facility, ASAP,” said Gavin Gustafson, UTA’s public information officer…
