24-year-old Salem man drowns in Molalla River

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A Salem man died after drowning in the Molalla River in Clackamas County on Sunday, law enforcement officials announced.

Despite emergency responders attempting to save his life after he was pulled ashore, 24-year-old Enrique Hernandez-Hernandez did not survive.

The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office said they responded at 7:40 p.m. on August 10 on reports of a man who went swimming near Canby Community Park and then went under the water. Multiple water rescue teams also responded.
