CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Charlottesville is looking for submissions from organizations and developers who want to develop multi-family affordable housing projects, ones which may require significant City funding.
As part of annual capital housing investment planning, the City is asking for participants to share “their project vision, scope, and potential partnership opportunities” in order to help achieve the broader goal of increasing affordable housing.
“Anyone who’s looking to build affordable housing knows it’s really hard to get all of the financing necessary and the city recognizes that, and so while we want to implore people to build affordable housing, we also have to help support it, and sometimes that’s financially, and that’s what this program is really for,” said Madelyn Metzler, the City’s Housing Compliance Coordinator…
