A protracted bathroom break and longing for mother led to a tough break for one Dickson man last week.
According to several Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office Facebook posts, Joseph Daniel Beard, 43, of Dickson was on work detail with the Rutherford County Adult Correctional Center in Readyville when he escaped mid-afternoon on Monday, Aug. 4.
In arrest affidavits filed with the Rutherford County General Sessions Court, Beard and the rest of his detail had stopped at the corner of Cripple Creek Loop and John Bragg Highway in Readyville, located east of Murfreesboro on Highway 70 in Rutherford County near the Cannon County border…
