Woman nearly stabbed to death by son wants more mental health awareness

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A woman who was nearly stabbed to death by her own son is trying to raise awareness of mental health issues. Her neighbor in Brentwood shot her son during the attack. Nearly six months later, Nathalie Porter is ready to talk about what happened.

Tuesday morning, Nathalie read from a journal that she started writing after her son died.
