OAK ISLAND, N.C. (WECT) – Neighbors are demanding change after a car crash in Oak Island on Monday morning left one woman dead.
The Oak Island Police Department (OID) says Teresa Johnston was crossing SE 31st Street to NE 31st when a Nissan pickup truck, driven by Peter Alford of Stanley, hit her in the westbound lane.
When asked if a death in this manner is surprising, neighbors had mixed reactions…
