Vandygriff has been working at the TTU Beef Center in New Deal for 3 years. Under the management of Michael Looney, the center brings in corn from across the South Plains. They then steamroll the corn to make their own cattle feed with other ingredients. Vandygriff is involved with the feed-making process, along with other animal management duties.
“We’ve currently got about 70 mama cows and about 40 calves right now that we’re fixing to wean off in the next couple months,” Vandygriff said.
